VISITATION: 5-7 PM WEDNESDAY AND 9 AM THURSDAY AT OTT AND LEE IN BRANDON
Luther E. Davis, 86, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
Visitation is 5-7 pm Wednesday and 9 am Thursday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 11 am Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the funeral home with burial in Brandon Memorial Gardens. Dr. Scott Thomas will officiate.
Mr. Davis was a native of Lawrence County and a resident of Rankin County for the past 15 years moving from South Jackson. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Brandon and retired after 37 years of service in the United States Army. Mr. Davis loved his family and enjoyed spending as much time as he could with them. His hobbies included traveling, camping, fishing, working in his yard, but most of all he enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include his daughter, Donna Ballard (Bart) of Brandon; granddaughters, Brittany and Taylor Ballard of Brandon; step- son, Terry Smith (Lisa) of Wesson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Knight Davis in 2004 and son, Brent Davis.
