Lynda Loyd

Lynda Gail Blanton Loyd, age 80, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS will interment in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am-11:00 am at the funeral home.

Mrs. Loyd was a born July 7, 1941, in Fayette, MS to William Clarence Blanton and Lizzie Alma Chambers Blanton. She was married to L.B. Loyd. Mrs. Loyd worked as a secretary for Jackson Public Schools many years before retiring. She enjoyed serving her Lord and church as director of the Brandon Baptist Church Senior Singles. She also enjoyed China painting with friends. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Loyd was preceded in death by her husband, L. B. Loyd; parents, William Clarence Blanton, and Lizzie Alma Chambers Blanton; and stepson and daughter-in-law, Danny Loyd (Vicki).

Mrs. Loyd is survived by her stepchildren, Elby Loyd (Annie), Ronnie Loyd (Fran), and Patsy Lewis (David); brother, Bill Blanton (Cathy); 2 nieces, cousins, and a host of friends.
