Mae Jean Putnal, age 64, a resident of Morton passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Merit Central Hospital.  Visitation was held 11am-2pm, Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Services were held 2pm Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Ott & Lee Chapel  with burial in Morton Memorial Gardens.  Bro.  Aaron Wood and Bro. Marty Wilson officiated the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mae Jean was born in Lauderdale County on October 6, 1955.  She enjoyed playing cards with Zachary, Keith and Larry.  Mae Jean enjoyed traveling and riding in the 18 wheeler with her former husband, Ed.  She had a special bond with her dog, Maggie.  The New England Patriots was her favorite football team to cheer for.  Her grandchildren and great grand was the apples of her eye.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, J.W. Walker and Edna Mae Jones Walker; husband, Edward Putnal.

She is survived by her children, Becky Reid of Morton, Jimmy Reid and wife, Tonya of Morton , Michael Reid and wife, Jessica of Morton; sisters, Peggy Allen (Jerry) of Gulfport and Claudia Smith of Morton; brothers, D.W. Walker (Jeanie) of AR and Larry Walker of Morton; 6 grandchildren, Brian Puckett, Kendall Puckett (Gabrielle), Keith Puckett Jr., Zachary Reid, Landon Reid and Hunter Reid; great grandchild, Elijah Puckett; son in law, Keith Puckett Sr.; best friend, Nancy Winstead; 6 nephews; 5 great nephews; 1 great niece and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were Kyle Waynick, Brad Smith, Zachary Reid, Sergio Segovia, James Palmer, Donnie Meeks, Kendall Puckett and Keith Puckett Jr.  Honorary pallbearers were Landon Reid, Elijah Puckett and Hunter Reid.

Memorials may be made in her name to Gideons International.
