Maija Jendze Langford, 79, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 with loved ones by her side. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandma to all. Funeral services will be held at 4 pm on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held from 2 until 4 pm at the funeral home.

Maija was born on October 31, 1936 in Ludza, Latvia. She came to America in 1950, after being in Displaced Persons Camps in Germany. Her most memorable sight was seeing the Statue of Liberty while aboard the General Stewart. Maija became a U.S. citizen and served in our military.

She is survived by her children, Laura (Ricky) Millet, Robert (Florence) Langford, Lela (Allen) Parish, Zaiga (Jerry) Torrence, Fran Moore, Linda (Vinnie) Grecco, Glenda Rushing and Haddie (Polly) Langford; sister Edite (Jack) Mcilavin; many grandchildren; great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Maija was preceded in death by her husband, Haddie Lee Langford; one sister, two brothers and her parents.
