Malcon Singleton, age 70, and a lifelong resident of Forest passed away suddenly Monday, February 1, 2021.
A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, February 6, 2021, at the chapel of the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest with Visitation beginning at 10am. (Facial coverings, masks, and physical distancing to be observed, as well as local and state mandates, are to be observed for the safety of those attending).
Malcon was born to his parents, Spink Singleton and Peggy Noblin Singleton on December 6, 1950, in Morton. He grew up in this area and later served his country in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam era. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He loved his country, loved the outdoors, and loved helping people. Malcon will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Tommy Singleton, and a granddaughter; Paulie Cauthen, who was also in the military.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Kyzar Singleton of Forest, and his children: Cody Davis, Steven McNeil, Stephanie Singleton, Angie Cauthen (Jonathan), and Renee Bufkin (Travis). He is also survived by a sister, Margaret McNeil (Harold), and a brother, Jerry Singleton (Mickey). Malcon also leaves a legacy of 8 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
