Manuel Dean Jones, 66, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at his home in the Gulde Community of Rankin County, MS. Visitation will be Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 5 until 8 pm and Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 12 Noon until the 1 pm Service from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Burial will follow in Gulde Cemetery.
Mr. Jones was born on May 25, 1950 in Cherry Valley, Arkansas to the late Lonnie Jones and Mary Inis Mayhan Hogan. He worked for 25 years at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in maintenance as a painter. He loved his wife, his daughters, and his grandbabies, especially watching his grandbabies play soccer. He loved traveling to the mountains; fishing; gardening and cooking for others. He attended Crossgates United Methodist Church in Brandon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Gentry and Mavis Blackwell; and a brother, Jerry Lee Jones.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Carolyn Robbins Jones; two daughters, Lisa Dalsin (Gerald) and Emily Jones; two brothers, Joe Hogan and Doyle Hogan; and three grandchildren, Isaac Norwood, Alana Hobson, and Gracie Jones.
