Margaret Watts Bilbro Jones, age 78, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2010, at St. Dominic's Hospital, following a short illness.

Born in the Rehobeth community of Rankin County, Margaret graduated from Central High School in1951 and worked for several years as a bookkeeper for Hobgood Building Supply in Jackson. In 1958, she married and returned to the Leesburg community where she was valued for her hospitality and her contributions to church and school activities. She was a devoted Christian who loved cooking, shopping, reading, and spending time with grandchildren. In addition, she served as secretary and clerk at Rehobeth
Baptist Church and as a board member at East Rankin Academy.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, John William and Letha Mae "Doll" Watts, husband Oscar Bilbro, brother Glen Watts, and sisters Nell Dear and Ruby King. She is survived by her husband Jerry A. Jones; daughters Gay Searcy, Natalie Keller (Mark), Renee Yancey (Rolland), and daughter-in-law, Jodie Vaughn, all of Leesburg; sons, Darvil Bilbro (Ann) of Brandon, Michael Bilbro, Leesburg, and Mark Bilbro (Rhonda), Leesburg; Goddaughter, Jamie Bond of Ft. Myers, Florida; brothers, John
Watts (Nina), Leesburg, Charles Watts (Edna), Leesburg, and Ray Watts of Star; sister, Fay King of Star. Grandchildren are Lea White, Russell Searcy, Greg Bilbro, Nathan and Brian Keller, Carol Rose, Cole, Hayden and Seth Bilbro, Samantha, Luke, Zak, Jake and Sarah Yancey, John Wilson and Olivia Bond. In addition, Margaret had seven great grandchildren, Austin Bilbro, Payton and Landon White, John Mark and Emma Rose, Jefferson Keller and Atticus Oliphant. She touched the lives of and will be much missed by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and innumerable friends.

Visitation for Margaret was held 4-9pm Monday, November 1, 2010 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Services were held 11am Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Leesburg Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Reverend Rick Hammerstrom and Reverend Scott Walters officiated the services. Pallbearers were Cole Bilbro, Seth Bilbro, Greg Bilbro, Russell Searcy, John Wilson Bilbro, Bernard King, Chuck King, and Tony King. Honorary pallbearers were Nathan Keller,
Luke Yancey, Hayden Bilbro, Landon White, and Payton White.

Memorial may be made in her memory to the Rehobeth Baptist Church, Building Fund, 446 Rehobeth Road, Pelahatchie, MS 39145.
