Jane Bennett Rogers, 76, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at the MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, February 13, 2017, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS, with burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS. Visitation will begin at 10:00 until 11:00am at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rogers graduated from Forest Hill High School in 1959, USM in 1963 with a Bachelor’s degree, and Mississippi College with a Master’s of Education in 1975. She retired in 1995 from Hinds County Schools (23 years at Byram School.) She was also a 25 year veteran of the Magnolia Crappie Club.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Stacie and Bessie Bennett. She is survived by her husband, Collis “Rabbit” Rogers; daughter, Wanda Richardson; son, Jim Bloodworth, Jr. (Cara); step children, Gayle Bridges, Vicky Moss (Clay), and Steve Rogers(Jennifer); 4 grandchildren, Kayla and Baylee Richardson, Gage and Maggie Bloodworth; 4 step grandchildren, and 1 step great-grandchild.
