Marlyn May Crenshaw, age 76, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Family graveside services were 11 am Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Neshoba Baptist Church Cemetery in Union, MS. Rev. Johnny Collins and Rev. Dawn Flowers officiated the service. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.
Mrs. Crenshaw was born in Quitman, MS on January 4, 1935 to D.C. May and Ernestine Boykin May. She was a graduate of Gilfoy School of Nursing where she received her Registered Nursing Degree and was the President of her senior class. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Brandon.
A special thanks to Dr. Bobby Graham and his staff at Jackson Oncology Associates, to the staff of 5 South at St. Dominic’s Hospital and the Cancer Center Staff of St. Dominic, and also to St. Mark’s UMC.
Parents, Mr. and Mrs. D.C. May and husband, Selby Allen Crenshaw preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie C. Shoemaker (Paul) of Terry; two sisters, Maxine May Rivers and Betty May Bowles both of Brandon; and her mother-in-law, Muriel Driskell Crenshaw of Union.
