Marilyn L. Eastland Thomas, 59, passed away Thurs. March 15, 2012 at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held Mon. March 19, 2012 from 1pm.-2:45pm. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 3pm. Mon. March 19, 2012 at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Brandon Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS.
Mrs. Thomas was born in Philadelphia, MS and has lived in Brandon for the past 20 years after moving from Meridian. She was a member of the Crossgates United Methodist Church in Brandon, MS. Mrs. Thomas enjoyed art, needle work and was an avid Disney fan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Nelda Lewis and her first husband, Don Eastland.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin Thomas; three children, Aimee Eastland, Miranda Bullock and Bethany Strickland; her sister, Martha Lewis; her brother, Ken Lewis and four grandchildren, Chance Doby, Ethan Eastland, Alex Bullock and Sam Bullock.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mississippi Animal Rescue League 4395 South Dr. Jackson, MS 39209 or the Animal Rescue Fund of Mississippi 1963 Holly Bush Rd. Pelahatchie, MS 39145.
