Marion Mccrory

Marion Ellis McCrory, age 95 a resident of Collins, formerly of Forest, died Thursday February 28, 2013 following an extended illness.
Funeral services were conducted at 3pm Saturday March 2, 2013 from the chapel of OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest with interment in the Eastern Cemetery. Visitation was held from 1pm – 3pm at the funeral home.
Mr. McCrory was born in Scott County to Howard McCrory and Merle Rowe McCrory on June 28, 1917. He was a member of the Forest Presbyterian Church. He was Director of the Forest Chamber of Commerce for many years. He had retired as Director of the Forest Housing Authority. Mr. McCrory also served a term as president of the Chamber of Commerce statewide. He was a member of Friends of the Library, a member of the Genealogical Society. He had been a member of numerous civic clubs in Forest and a Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents and first two wives, Charlie Ann Alexander McCrory, Thelma Mae “Pat” McCrory.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie McCrory of Montgomery, AL. 3 children; Mike McCrory (Elaine) of Natchez, Don McCrory (Barbara), Ken McCrory (Marti) all of Petal, a sister Elizabeth Barrett of Dallas, TX, a brother, Robert Glenn McCrory (Linda) of Benton, KY. He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 9 step grandchildren.
