Marjorie Louise Roberts, Hartman, age 79, passed away at home on Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday, September 4, 2010, at Strunk Funeral Home in Easton, PA. Visitation will be 10am Saturday till service time at the funeral home with burial following in Easton Heights Cemetery.
Mrs. Hartman was born on April 10, 1931 in Easton, PA to Raymond and Bessie Roberts and has lived in Brandon, MS since 2003. She formerly worked as a clerk with the Northampton County Courthouse in Easton, PA and also managed Easton Heights Cemetery as superintendent for 35 years. Mrs. Hartman served on the board of directors of the Cemetery Association of Pennsylvania and on the board of the State Theater in Easton, PA. She was also a longtime member of the Eastern Star, William Parsons Lodge.
Mrs. Hartman is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard W. Hartman Sr. of Easton, PA; three children, Dr. Richard W. Hartman, Jr. of Wayne, NJ, Kathleen Hartman Vernace of Defiance, OH and David R. Hartman of Brandon, MS; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Raymond R. Roberts of Easton, PA.
