Heaven gained the most perfect angel in Marjorie Alene Haskins on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson. Marjorie was loved by so, so many. Her visitation will be held Saturday, November 30, from 9-11 a.m. at Ott and Lee in Brandon with the funeral to follow. A graveside service will take place at Coleman Cemetery in McAdams at 1:30 p.m.
Marjorie was born August 14, 1942, as the third child to Betty and Clayton McCrory. She was a1960 graduate of McAdams High School and married her high school sweetheart Thad Haskins Sr. shortly after.
Marjorie worked for the school system for 20 years and retired after serving 17 years as the secretary at Puckett High School. She was a proud and dedicated member of Puckett Methodist Church and a prominent member of the Puckett community. She was a frequent visitor of the Puckett public library and cherished her favorite job of being a grandmother and great-grandmother to her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved so deeply.
Marjorie is survived by her brother, Bud McCrory of Kosciusko, and sister Esther Hutchinson of Clinton; three children, Thad Haskins Jr. and his wife Angie Haskins of Puckett, Terri Overby and her husband Perry of Puckett, and Clay Haskins and his wife Stefanie of Puckett. Also surviving her are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were her world. They are granddaughters, Hailey Pagart and her husband Jesse of Puckett, Ashlyn Battle and her husband Cooper of Senatobia, and Caly Grace Haskins; grandsons, Hayden Overby and his wife Abby of Puckett, Heath Overby and his wife Hannah of Puckett, and Hank Overby; great-grandchildren Jayden and Landen Pagart, Haskins and Emma Battle, Hadley Overby, and Luke Overby. She was reunited with and preceded in death by the love of her life, Thad Haskins Sr.; son, Michael Wayne Haskins; sisters, Claytie Dew, and Bettie Hutchinson; and parents Clayton and Betty McCrory.
Marjorie was the most loving, generous, caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend this world has ever known. Her light will continue to leave an impact on her family, community, and everyone she has encountered over the years. Marjorie will be deeply missed here on earth for years, and years to come.

The family asks in lieu of flowers that all memorials be sent to Puckett Methodist Church Building Fund.
