Marjorie Nelson “Margie” White, 57, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, March 7, 2011 at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson. Visitation is 5 – 8 pm Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Wynndale Baptist Church, 11287 Spring Ridge Road, Terry, MS. Funeral Services are 10 am Thursday at the Church. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park South in Jackson. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Richland is in charge of arrangements.
Margie was born in Brookhaven, MS on September 24, 1953 to the late Malcolm Thomas Nelson and Helen McGrew Nelson. She was a graduate of Loyd Star High School in Lincoln County, MS and attended Copiah Lincoln Junior College in Wesson, MS. She was a longtime resident of the Jackson area. She was an active member of Wynndale Baptist Church and its Mission outreach. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Margie was preceded in death by a son, William Gray White.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Richard G. White; daughter, Natalie Brooks Gaughf and husband, Kevin of Terry; two sons, Troy Nelson White and his wife, LeAnn of Terry, and John Stewart White and wife, Kate of Guntersville, AL; her mother, Helen Nelson of Caseyville, MS; her sister, Sandra Rich and her husband, Roger of Caseyville, MS; and six grandchildren, Madalyn, Brian, William, Langley, Sam, and Briton.
