Marjorie Leora Foss Welsh, 88, joined her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm Friday, May 6, 2016, at Crossgates United Methodist Church in Brandon, MS.
Mrs. Welsh was born in Pocatello, Idaho on December 3, 1927 to Oscar and Muriel Foss. Marjorie was very active in her church. She was a longtime kindergarten teacher for the New Orleans, LA Public School Systems at McDonough 32. She was a loving wife and devoted mother with a caring and giving heart for all that she met. She had a gentle spirit and a quiet determination.
Survivors include her husband, Myron Eugene Welsh; children, Cindy Wilkins (Bob) of Brandon, MS, Mark Welsh (Maribel) of Adams Run, SC, Nancy (Tim) Hamilton of New London, CT and Bill Welsh (Luz Eugenia) of Chadds Ford, PA; grandchildren, Mike Wilkins, Matt Wilkins, Bill Hamilton, Karen Hamilton, Monica Welsh and Andrew Welsh; and great grandchildren, Olivia, Sophia and Amelia Wilkins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossgates United Methodist Church, 23 Crossgates Dr., Brandon, MS, 39042.
