Mark Alan Billings, age 70, former long-time resident of Brandon Mississippi passed away on July 9, 2020 in Oxford Mississippi. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Graveside services will follow at 4pm in Brandon Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS.
Mark was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa in 1950 to Ed and Thelma Billings. He was a veteran of Vietnam, and served in the Army. He was honorably discharged in 1976. He married his late wife Connie on October 24, 1972 in Des Moines, Iowa. He then started an over 30 year career in the Aviation industry, which included Beech Aerospace Services, Raytheon, L3 Communications, L3 Vertex. He began as an airplane mechanic and worked his way up to project manager. This career allowed him to travel the world with his wife and brought the birth of his three children Carrie, Kyle, and Maggie. He moved to Brandon, Mississippi in 1987, where he raised his family and lived until he retired in 2015. Upon retirement, he moved Oxford, Mississippi to enjoy one of his favorite hobbies, Ole Miss Athletics. He was an amazing father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Edward Billings; mother, Thelma Billings; and wife, Connie Billings.
Survivors include his children, Carrie Flowers (Jarrett), Kyle Billings (Christie) and Margaret Woods (Justin); 6 grandchildren, Bailey Billings, Davis Billings, Logan Flowers, Kinsley Woods, Walker Woods and Kourey Nowell; 2 brothers, Steve Billings and Kent Billings.
Pallbearers will be Justin Woods, Jarrett Flowers, Kyle Billings, Steve Billings, Kent Billings and Matt Wann.
