He married the love of his life, Jenell Harrell on August 19, 1955. Edward lived his entire life in Mississippi with the majority being in Pearl. He served the community where he was part owner of Fruit Jobbers, a local Jackson, MS produce market, for over 60 years. He was an active member of Park Place Baptist Church in Pearl, MS, and he loved the Lord. He was known for his quick wit and love for telling jokes. He loved playing tricks, with an annual favorite being hiding money in a handmade gift every Christmas. He would tell all his grandchildren as they searched for the money, that he would put it in the mail. One of his favorite past times was crafting intricate models of houses, churches, park swings etc. out of bamboo, cardboard, and glue. He made a replica of his childhood home, which was one of his favorites. To know him was to love him and he would do anything for anyone.
He was preceded in death by his parent, Mack and Bertha Rawson of Carthage, MS, and three siblings, Jackie Rawson, Billy Rawson, and Bobbie Johnson. Mr. Rawson is survived by his wife, Jenell Rawson of Madison, MS, daughter Sandy Page (Tony) of Madison, MS, and son, Cris Rawson (Connie) of Madison, MS, grandchildren, Hilary Vosen (Zack) of Jackson, MS, Mary Box (Gaston) of Madison, MS, Hannah Rawson of Oxford, MS, Cooper Page of Birmingham, AL, Mary Julia Williams (Joel) of Madison, MS, and Caleb Rawson of Madison, MS. He had five great grandchildren and another three on the way: Olivia Crisler Vosen, Annelise Gaston Box, Rawson Luke Vosen, Elizabeth Lynne Vosen, and Shepherd Barry Williams. He has four siblings, Ernestine Rawson Crawford of Brandon, MS, Charles Rawson of Forest, MS, Doug Rawson of Biloxi, MS, and Glenn Rawson of Madison, MS.
