Martha G. “Marty” Denson, 88, a resident of Lena died Monday, May 14, 2012 at home. Visitation was held 4-9 pm Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held at 11 am Wednesday, May 16, 2012 with burial in the Ludlow Cemetery. Rev. Gary Lawson and Rev. M.L. Wallace officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Denson was a native of Menomonie, WI but a longtime resident of Lena. She was the daughter of Arthur and Emily Schlueter Rassbach. She was married to Fred W. Denson. Mrs. Denson was a member of the Ludlow Baptist Church. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Denson was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Emily Schlueter Rassbach, her husband, Fred W. Denson and her 10 siblings.
Mrs. Denson is survived by her children, Sandra Jaco of Oxford, Donald W. (Nancy) Denson of Petal and Jim (Jane) Denson of Ludlow; 4 grandchildren, Richie (Andrea) Denson, Jim (Melissa) Denson, Jo Sondra Montague and Amy J. Denson; 6 great grandchildren, Adam Denson, Jared Montague, Will Denson, Janey Denson, Anna Denson and Bailey Denson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Serving as Pallbearers were Richie Denson, Jim Denson, Adam Denson, Will Denson, Jared Montague and Donald Barrett and serving as honorary pallbearer was John Lathem.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Division of Public Affairs University of MS Medical Center 2500 North State St. Jackson, MS 39216.
