Martha Wilson Jordan

Mrs. Martha Jordan, age 84 passed away after a long illness on Sunday, April 15, 2018,  at her residence.  Visitation will be held 5pm-9pm Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Services will be held 10am Thursday, April 19, 2018 in the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton.  Graveside services will be held 3pm Thursday at Tangipahoa Baptist Cemetery in Summit, MS with a short visitation time beforehand.  Bro. Tal Vardaman will officiate the services.    Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Martha was born in Amite County on March 16, 1934.  She and her husband, Moody, loved to travel with their Allegro Motorhome group.  Martha enjoyed watching and feeding the birds.  She was a great cook and always made sure her family was taken care of.  Martha loved her furbaby, Miss Mary and enjoyed crocheting and needlework.  Her beautiful smile and caring heart will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Moody Jordan; parents, Thomas Ray Wilson and Ruby Dell Bales Wilson; son, Jack Jordan; brother, Ray Wilson; sisters, Mary Hellon Byrd and Susan Berryhill.

She is survived by her 3 children, Carl Dwight Jordan and wife, Virginia Lyn of Alabama, Sylvia Wingo and husband, Floyd of Brandon and Wayne Jordan of Morton; brother, David Wilson (Eleanor) of Summit; 6 grandchildren, Yvonne Reon (Eric), Christina Smith (Jacob), Michelle Thompson, Laura Jean Wingo, Maggie Wingo and Travis Jordan; 6 great grandchildren, Broxton, Ayla, Nikki, Jaden, Logan and Carly; daughter-in-law, Patti Jordan of Pelahatchie; several close in laws; extended family and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Travis Jordan, Floyd Wingo, Charles Broussard, Timmy Jordan, Carl Dwight Jordan and Eric Reon.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bro. Tal Vardaman and Wayne Jordan.
