Martha Moore

February 11, 1936 — September 7, 2017

Martha Purvis Moore, age 81 went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from the MS Care Center in Morton.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11:00 am from the Rock Bluff Baptist Church in Daniel near White Oak. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, September 8, 2017 from the Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton and again on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, from the Rock Bluff Baptist Church in Daniel  near White Oak on Hwy 541.  Services are entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Martha Purvis Moore was born on February 11, 1936 to her parents Grover I. and Lula Hutson Purvis in Mendenhall, MS.  She was a member of the Rock Bluff Baptist Church, and she loved playing basketball in her earlier years.  She liked to read, work crossword puzzles, working with her flowers, watching westerns on television.  Martha loved spending time with her family and loved her grandchildren very much.  She also enjoyed music and Conway Twitty was one of her favorites, but love all kinds of music.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Grover I. and Lula Purvis; her brothers, Jack Purvis, Junius Purvis, Claude (Buck) Purvis; her sisters, Wisie Boone, Nell Sims, and Eunice Foster.
Martha is survived by her children, Eddie (and the late Susan) Easterling of Daniel, Shelia (Roger) Stokley of Morton, Sandra (Jim) Giddy of Flora, and Ricky Easterling of Morton; her sister, Elizabeth Bailey; her grandchildren, Chris Stokley, Robby (Joni) Gray, Madyson Giddy, Garrick (Katie) Easterling, Zac Giddy; great-grandchildren, Dawson Stokley, Rhett Gray,  Riley Gray, Rivers Gray, Chase Easterling, Emma Easterling, and Patrick Easterling; with many nieces and nephews and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Chris Stokley, Robby Gray, Garrick Easterling, Zac Giddy, Dawson Stokley, and Rhett Gray.
In lieu of flowers donations should be given to the Rock Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
