Martha Ann Wade, 83, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at her home in Brandon, MS. Services will be 2pm Saturday, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS, with visitation starting at 1pm Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS. 

Martha was born to W.O. Wade and Louise Armstrong Wade on November 2, 1940. She was a member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Brandon, MS and former member at First Baptist Church of Talulah, LA. 

After Martha finished Cosmetology School she moved to Talulah, LA and worked for the Madison Journal newspaper and later Louisiana Technical College. After retiring from Louisiana Tech she moved to Brandon, MS to be closer to family. 

Survivors include her sister, Kathryn Rush; nieces and nephews, Carlton Rush (Mary), Charles Rush (Barbie), Debra McCraw, Billy Wade, Connie Kent, Rusty Kent, and Tommy (Lee) Kent. She was preceded in death by her parents, W.O. and Louise Wade; brothers, Tom Kent (Vera), John Kent (Doris), Bill Wade, and Henry Wade; niece, Kathy Rush Nichols (Paul), and a nephew, Steve Kent.
