Mary Helen Arender, 67, died Friday, June 11, 2010, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Visitation was held 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and will resume Sunday noon till 2pm. Funeral services will be held today at 2pm at the funeral home with burial in Polkville Baptist Church Cemetary. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton is in charge of arrangements.
Mary was a native and life long resident of Polkville, MS. She was a member of Polkville Baptist Church. Mary loved God and her family and was a friend to all who knew her.
Survivors are her brother Gene Arender and his wife Cissy of Pelahatchie, MS; her nephew Allen Arender, his wife Laura Curto Arender, and their 3 children Sam, Thomas, and Nora Bess who all live in Nashville.
The family would like to thank the physicians and staff at the University of MS Medical Center who took care of Mary, especially Dr. Jessica Safley. Their kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. Thank you Brother Aaron Safley for your prayers and support during this very difficult time.
