Mary Bounds

Mary Elizabeth Sharp Bounds, 87, a resident of Pearl, MS passed away on December 16, 2018 at Brandon Court in Brandon, MS.

Mary Beth was born in Sebastopol, MS on September 10, 1931 to Leslie and Maurine Sharp. She graduated from Brandon High School and Wood Junior College. She married Henry L. Bounds, Jr. and together they had two daughters, Suzanne (Stan) Gill of Gallman, MS and Leslie Bounds of Brandon, MS.

She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Brandon, MS. She enjoyed learning and serving through United Methodist Women as well as serving in many capacities within the church.

In addition to her parents, Mary Beth was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Dorothy N. Pierce, William N. Sharp, Buck Sharp, John Sharp and Etoile Speights.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years; daughters; a sister, Martha S. Wilkerson of Lake, MS; three grandsons, Seth T. Gill, Caleb H. Gill and Luke A. Gill all of Gallman, MS; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church in Brandon, MS with Rev. Kelly Pope officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and Wednesday from 10:00 am until 10:45 am at the church.
