Mary Cole, age 90, a resident of Raleigh, Ms passed away on Saturday November 27, 2010 at the Magee General Hospital following a short illness.
Funeral services were conducted at 10am Monday November 29, 2010 from the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest with interment at Burns Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Jacob Niblett officiated the services.
She was born to Walter and Bessie Hawkins on November 21, 1920 in Raleigh, Ms., the only daughter of ten children.
Mrs. Cole was a homemaker and a member of Burns Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Bill Cole; a grandson, Jeff Kennedy and five brothers Donnie, Hillard, Ralph, John G. and Gaynell Hawkins.
Mrs. Cole is survived by her daughter, Delores Pell, brothers Kelly and Mack Hawkins of Raleigh, Robert Hawkins of Shreveport and Jimmy Hawkins of Columbus; grandson Greg Young and his wife, Suzanne and four great grandchildren, Joey & Katie Kennedy and Emily & Adair Young, all of Raleigh.
Pallbearers were Walter Mack Burns, Howard Burns, Gary Hawkins, Glen Hawkins, Mike Hawkins, and Mackie Hawkins.
Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Forest was in charge of arrangements.
