Mary Deloise "Dee" Eady

Mary Deloise "Dee" Eady, 73, of Forest, passed away on December 30, 2023, at her home. Visitation  will be held from 10am till 12pm Saturday, January 13, 2024  At the  OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest.  Funeral services will begin at 12pm  following the Visitation.     Graveside services will not be held, the family will remain to visit with friends.  She will be laid to rest in the Old Cash Cemetery near Lena.

Dee was born on September 15, 1950, to her parents, Willie and Belle Sessums of Lena.  She was a member of Hillsboro Baptist Church. She worked at the Bank of Forest for 19 years and then at Forest Dental Practice for numerous years. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Also, she was an avid sports fan. She was very generous and thoughtful by cooking homemade chicken pie for family and friends in need. She will certainly be missed by all who loved and knew her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Peyton Victor (Shot) Eady Jr., her sister, Sarah Mills, and her brother, Barney Sessums.

Survivors include her daughter, DeAnna Sparks, her granddaughters, Eady and Emery Sparks, her sister, Ruth Gunn, her nieces, Judy Ledford, Renea Hurdle, Jan Crowell, Becky Gunn, and her nephews, Scott Sessums, and Stacy Sessums. She also leaves behind a host of  extended family and  friends.

Pallbearers include Jonathan Ledford, Josh Ledford, Justin Hurdle, Jason Hurdle, Drew Crowell, Dylan Sessums, Patrick Sessums, Jon Marc Killebrew, Jacob Killebrew, and Joseph Killebrew. Honorary Pallbearers include Jimmy Hurdle, Freddy Ledford, Britt Crowell, Scott Sessums, Stacy Sessums, Elvis Shaw, Bobby Kuhn, and Mark Harrell.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund (Dee Eady Memorial Fund) has been established at Community Bank in Forest, MS.
