Mary Pierce

Mary Lou Pierce, age 85, a resident of Brandon, MS, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at home surrounded by her family. A private family service will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021.

Mrs. Pierce was born September 12, 1935, to Felix Wood and Rosabel Standifer Wood in Braxton, MS. She was married to James Hardy Pierce. Mrs. Pierce was a member of Crossgates Methodist Church in Brandon, MS. She enjoyed cooking and being with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Rosabel Standifer Wood.

Mrs. Pierce is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Hardy Pierce; her sons, Kenneth Pierce and Steven (Laurie) Pierce; daughter, Kristi Pierce-Myers; brother, Bill Wood, 7 grandchildren, Blake (Stacey) Pierce, Reese (Miranda) Pierce, Tyler Pierce, Ashley Pierce, Kristyn (Corey) Smith, Kaci (Rustin) Myers-Moak, and Austin Myers; 5 great-grandchildren, Nolan Smith, Liam Smith, Ava Pierce, Livia Pierce, and Granger Moak; nieces, Cheryl Wood and Pamela Martin; nephew, Charles (Joetta) Wood, and a host of friends.
