Mary Maxine Murphy Massey, 81, of Puckett passed away Monday, December 17, 2012, at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon. Visitation will be 11am Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon until the 2 pm service following in the Chapel, and interment will be in Puckett Cemetery.
Ms. Massey was the daughter of James Franklin and Lillie Busby Goss of Scott County. She was a longtime resident of Rankin County and spent
her last 15 years in the Puckett area. She retired from Metal Textile in Brandon.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter Doris Ann Ellzey, and her sister Johnnie Faye McCrory.
She is survived by 4 children: Kathy Driskill of Mobile, AL, Don Murphy (Brenda) of Puckett, John Claude Murphy, and Laura Gene Murphy of Puckett. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Ben Driskill, Brandy Driskill McMahon, Vince Murphy, and Ashley Murphy Shivers as well as 5 great grandchildren: Justice & Gage McMahon, Brianna & Lila Grace Murphy, and Brooke Shivers. She also leaves behind 2 sisters Dorothy Mae VanDevender and Jo Ann Ray as well as her brother James Earl Goss.
