Mary Lee Nail, 83, joined her Savior 5 May, 2017. Visitaton will be 2-5pm on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Services will be 1pm on Monday in the chapel of the funeral home. Graveside services are 3:30pm on Monday in Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, MS. Officiating the service will be Rev. Tyron Wells.
She was born in Jayess, MS in1933. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Lula Lee, her brother, Obed Lee, sisters Emma Newman, Lucy Reid, Audrey Felder and her daughter Shirley Dickerson. Grieving her loss is her loving husband of 35 years, William Nail Jr., her children: Willis Jerome (Rachel) Boyd, McComb; Sarah Lou Roberts (Rick Smith), Puckett; Janet Simmons, Magnolia; James (Becky) Mote, Flaherty, KY; Carolyn (Terry) Young, Las Vegas, NV; son-in-law James Dickerson, Summit. She will be greatly missed by her surviving sister, Pearl Mote, McComb. Thirteen grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Although recently slowed by age and illness, Mary was famous for her gardening, spending hours of every summer canning and freezing the results for all of the fabulous dinners she provided for her family. She enjoyed quilting, was a talented seamstress and an avid fisherman.
Her family and friends will miss her greatly but are comforted knowing she is at peace.
