Mary Nell Latham Odom, 87, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Hospice Ministries, Inc. in Ridgeland, MS. Graveside Services will be held Sunday, May 8, 2016 at 5 pm at Magee City Cemetery in Magee, MS. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Mary Nell Latham was born on January 1, 1929 in Lumberton, MS to the late Ernest H. and Corrie Elizabeth Waits Latham. She was married to Thomas F. Odom, Jr. on October 23, 1953 in Sanatorium, MS. Mary and Tom lived and raised their two daughters in Palm Beach County, Florida from 1958 until 1981 when they moved back to Mississippi. She leaves behind many dear friends who still reside in Florida. Mary was a homemaker most of her life, but served as Church Secretary for several years, the latest at Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church in Ridgeland, MS, where she was a member.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Thomas F. Odom, Jr.
Survivors include her two daughters, Corrie J. Odom of Durham, NC and Leslie O. Graham (Mike) of Brandon, MS; a sister, Margaret L. Bible of Chattanooga, TN; a brother, Joe L. Latham of Atlanta, GA; one granddaughter, Karen Elizabeth Graham Bailey (Dawson); and one great granddaughter, Adalynn Brooke Bailey; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Methodist Children’s Village; French Camp Academy; or Gateway Rescue Mission.
