Mrs. Mary Ragan, age 73, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Rolling Acres Retirement Center in Raleigh. Visitation was held 5-8pm Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 11am Friday, April 18, 2014 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Ragan Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.Mrs. Ragan was born in Neshoba County in 1940. She loved to crochet and sew. Cooking for her family and grandkids brought her great joy and she will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.She is preceded in death by her parents, Odie and Elvie Townsend Savell; son, Robert Earl Ragan in 2010 and brother, Edsel Lavon Savell.She is survived by her husband, Edwin “Cowboy” Ragan of Pelahatchie; children, Mark Ragan (Sylvia Ruth) of Pelahatchie and Chad Ragan (Tonya) of Pelahatchie; sister, Jeanette Irons (Billy) of Philadelphia; brothers, Dr. Medrick Savell of Laurel and Pheris Savell (Norma Lynn) of Philadelphia; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Rainer, Heather Haven (Willie), Tyler Ragan, Hunter Ragan and Skylar Ragan; 5 great grandchildren, Phillip Rainer, Nicole Rainer, Corbin Haven, Chole Haven and Chevelle Haven and a host of friends.Pallbearers were Jeffrey Richburg, Nicholas Ragan, Charlie Welch, Randy Savell, Dewayne Savell and Scotty Irons. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Ragan and Tyler Ragan.
