FUNERAL SERVICES were conducted at 2:30pm Friday February 8, 2013 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Forest with Interment in the Hillsboro Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jim Burns officiated.

Mary Opal Park Richardson, 78, of Jackson, passed away and joined our Lord and Savior on February 5, 2013 in Brandon, MS.
Visitation was held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest, MS on February 8, 2013 from 1:00 - 2:15 pm. Funeral service was immediately follow the visitation at 2:30 pm in the same location. Reverend Jim Burns of Standing Pine Baptist Church, Walnut Grove, MS officiated.
Private burial for family followed at Hillsboro Baptist Church Cemetery. Ott & Lee Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Opal was born in Forest to Clois and Lois Park on September 21, 1934. She graduated high school at Forest High School in 1952. She spent her life as a wife, mother and grandmother in service to her family. She loved them dearly.
Opal is preceded in death by her parents, Clois and Lois; and her late husband, W.L Richardson.
Opal is survived by her brother John Park and his wife Faye Park of Forest; two sisters, Virginia Duncan of Meridian and Sallie Costilow and her husband Bob Costilow of Griffin, GA; daughters Wanda Burns and her husband John Baxter Burns, II of Brandon and Gina Richardson of Jackson; three grandsons, Wes Smith of Hattiesburg, John Baxter Burns, III and his wife Andrea Burns of Canton, Sidney Burns of Brandon.
Pallbearers were Wes Smith, John Baxter Burns, Sidney Burns, Michael Watkins, Sean Coffey and Chris Thornton.
