Mary Lou Wiggins

Mary Lou Wiggins, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, at the age of 94. 

Mrs. Wiggins was born May 2, 1930, in Olney, Illinois, to Murvin Crouse and Esther M. Real Crouse. She grew up in Noble, Illinois. In 1974, she moved to Brandon, Mississippi with her two daughters, where she lived until her passing. 

She enjoyed horseback riding, her motorcycle, bowling, and bunco. She loved to eat and spend time with her family and friends. She was an amazing, fun mother and a great friend and neighbor. She was a woman of faith, and was very charitable, often donating to support animals, children, and veterans. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, William S. “Bill” Wiggins; parents, Murvin and Esther Crouse; brothers, Paul M. Crouse and John J. Crouse; and sisters, N. Elaine Roberson and Ruth Elizabeth Lenear.

Survivors include her daughters, Angela Brown (Mike) and Rhonda Rogers (Rex Johnson); stepson, William S. Wiggins, Jr. (Faye); grandchildren, Connie Hunley, Jennifer Purvis (Greg), Natalie Rogers, Nicole Rogers, Jimmy Wiggins, and Timmy Wiggins; and six great grandchildren. 

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the staff at Chateau Pines Assisted Living, Covenant Caregivers, and Arden Hospice for the exceptional care of their mother over the past few years. 

A visitation will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 am with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am in the chapel. Burial will follow in Brandon Memorial Gardens.
