Mary Tillson Winkler, 81, passed away Thurs. July 21, 2016 at the Bedford Nursing Home in Mendenhall, MS. Visitation will be held on Sat. July 23, 2016 from 11am-1:45pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm Sat. July 23, 2016 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.
Mary was born June 24, 1935 in the County Line Community of Rankin Co. She graduated from Puckett High School and Jackson Commercial Business College. She worked for 35 years for the telephone company before retiring. She was a member of Crossgates Baptist Church.
Mary is survived by her husband, Herman Winkler; two sons, Michael Tillson (Tammie) of Brandon and David D. Tillson of Biloxi; two grandchildren, Lindsey Nicole and Devon Jacob Tillson; step-daughter, Sherri Winkler of Gulfport and one sister, Sandra Calhoun (Prentiss) of Puckett. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Mack Tillson; parents, Noel and Nettie Lou Ponder and a sister, Glenda Faye Ponder.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Crossgates Baptist Church food pantry.
