VISITATION: 4-7:30 PM TUESDAY AT OTT AND LEE FUNERAL HOME IN BRANDON
Mary Eva Rhodes Banes, 88, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at Brandon Court. Visitation is 4-7:30 pm Tuesday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with services are 11 am Wednesday at Shiloh United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Banes was a native and lifelong resident of Rankin County and was a lifelong member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. She was born July 12, 1926 to Irvin and Eva Rhodes. Her greatest enjoyment in life was simply being a good mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survivors include her daughters, Hilda Varner (Larry) and Annette Denton (Clarke); sons, Eugene Banes (Elsie), Doug Banes (Connie) and Irvin Banes (Barbara); 9 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Banes.
The family would like to express a special thank you to all the staff at Brandon Court Nursing Home for the care of their mother and memorials may be sent to Shiloh United Methodist Church Building Fund.
