Visitation: 6-8pm Monday, September 10, 2014 at Ott & Lee Morton Service: 11:00am Tuesday at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Forkville, MS with visitation 10am at church Burial: Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery Mary Sue Walker, age 98, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2014. The funeral service to celebrate her life will be conducted on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 11:00 am. It will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Forkville with the interment to follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery.Mary was born in the Clifton community near Forkville, MS. She was a homemaker, seamstress, fashion consultant, and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She taught Sunday school for 74 years and was a devoted church member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Howard Walker; her brothers, Madison Sessums and Joe Sessums; her sisters, Lucille Sorey and Alice Laird.Mrs. Walker is survived by her daughters, Marilyn McLain Hedgepeth of Monticello, MS and Margaret Stormo of Maritta, Ga. and son-in-law, Donald B. Stormo; her grandchildren, Rev. Cannon Paul McLain, III (Ruthie), Doug McLain, Daniel McLain, Mary Frances Boyd (Chris), Don H. Stormo and David B. Stormo (Romina). She also has three great grandchildren, Alex McLain, McLain Boyd and Mary Elizabeth Boyd.The family would like to say a special thank you to the pastors and members of Bethlehem Baptist Church and the Monticello Baptist Church and the staff of the Lawrence County Nursing Center for their compasion and kind deeds they shared during her recent illness.Memorials may be made to the Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund.
