Matthew Warren

Matthew Gray Warren, 21, of Brandon, MS, lost his life due to an automobile accident on Thursday, January 21, 2021.  He was born at River Oaks Hospital on June 29, 1999, along with his twin sister, Maggie.  Matthew grew up to be an avid outdoorsman with a special love for squirrel hunting with his beloved dog, Lucy.  Matthew was a part of the 2018 graduating class of Pisgah High School.  He continued on to go into the oilfield until he followed in his big brother, Luke's footsteps as an apprentice lineman at Irby Construction.

Matthew would be found on any given weekend cooking for his friends and family, in the woods, on the water, or working on anything with a motor.  He will be remembered for his baby blue eyes, contagious smile, and generous personality.  He was an amazing uncle to Anna Scott and Wesley; dependable brother to Maggie and Luke and loving friend to many.

Matthew was preceded in death by his uncle, Kenny and his great uncle, Gird Warren.

Matthew is survived by the love of his life, Carleigh "Carlos" Matthews; his father, Dan (Ashley) Warren; mother, Leigh Ann (Jeff) Williamson; his brother Luke Warren (Morgan Jungles); his sister, Maggie Lauren Warren (Brian Hynes); step brothers, Brad Williamson and Ryan Williamson; his grandparents, Jessie Sr. and Jo Ann White; Ken and Alice Gray Warren.  He is also survived by his nieces and nephew, Anna Scott Warren, Wesley Gray Warren and Sophie Williamson; aunts and uncles, Lorie (David) Tharp, Jess (Paula) White, Amy White Lee, Ben (Faith) White, Melanie (Grant) McIntyre, Genie (Bob) Benton and numerous cousins and friends.

Visitation will be 12 – 2 PM Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Pisgah, MS.  Services will follow at 2 PM in the church.  Interment will be in Fannin United Methodist Cemetery in Fannin, MS.
