Mattie M. Johnson,78, a resident of Pulaski died Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Funeral services were held 2 pm Friday, May 17, 2013 at Faith Tabernacle Worship Center in Pulaski with burial in the Lingle Cemetery. Visitation was held 4-9 pm Thursday and 8:30 am-12 pm Friday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Rev. Kenneth Johnson, Rev. Ricky Watkins and Rev. Jeff Taylor officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
 
Mrs. Johnson was a native of Scott Co. She was the daughter of Henry Preston and Eula Mae Harmon Derrick. She was married to Newell Johnson. Mrs. Johnson worked over 20 years for the Scott Co. School District. She was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Worship Center in Pulaski. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
 
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Preston and Eula Mae Harmon Derrick; and her brother, Eugene Derrick.
 
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Newell Johnson of Pulaski; daughter, Patricia (James) Goss of Pulaski; son, Rev. Kenneth (Betty) Johnson of Pulaski; brothers, Otho (Dorothy) Derrick of Pulaski and C.L. (Sue) Derrick of Pulaski; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousin and a host of friends.
 
Serving as pallbearers were Derrell Goss, Brian Goss, T.J. Goss, Dale Johnson, Victor Johnson and Justin Runnels.
