Maurine Bradford

August 24, 1924 — October 11, 2016

Maurine Williams Bradford, age 92, a resident of Forest, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 following a brief illness.

Funeral services were conducted at 11am Thursday October 13, 2016 from the chapel of the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest with interment in the Antioch-Steele Cemetery. Visitation was held from 10am to 11am prior to the service. Dr. Joe Pate and Dr. Gordon Sansing officiated.

Mrs. Bradford was born on Sunday August 24, 1924 in Rochelle, LA to her parents Charles E. Williams and Jessie Kilpatrick Williams. She moved from the Natchez area to Forest several years ago. She had retired from the Farmers & Merchants Bank, now Community Bank, in 1998, where she served as Public Relations Representative. She was an active member of the Forest Baptist Church, where she served in the WMU, Secretary of the Youth Sunday School Dept. for 30 years. She was volunteer of the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, a member of the T E L Sunday School Class and a member of the Lackey Memorial Hospital Auxillary. She will be remembered by the many young people influenced by her life through church and other activities in the community

She was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy L. Bradford in 1984, a brother, Johnnie Williams of Mobile, AL.

She is survived by her niece Verdun Williams Grantham, of Theodore, AL and several other family members. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like thank her many friends and the staff at the Bee Hive in Forest for the friendship and kindness expressed to Mrs. Bradford through the years.
