Mavis Little Hoffa, 61, passed away on the morning of Sat. Dec. 31, 2011 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS after battling cancer for almost ten years. Visitation will be held Mon. Jan. 2, 2012 from 6pm.-8pm. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 10am. Tues. Jan. 3, 2012 at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Brandon Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS.

Mavis was born on April 12, 1950 in Cleveland, MS to the late John William Little and Naomi Dell Little. She has been a resident of Brandon, MS for the past 25 years where she was member of the Central Baptist Church. Mavis was best known for her love and selfless devotion to her Lord, her husband and her church. All of her hobbies and interests surrounded those pillars. Mavis’ church family will recall her constant smile, laughter and constant positive attitude in the face of all the trials in her life. She was known as a fighter, which endured and persevered through bad health and was always grounded by her faith.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Bill Hoffa, who she married on Dec. 31, 1977; her one and only child who was born in Sept. 1979, Brand Hoffa and his wife Sandra and her grandson, Christian Hoffa. Mavis was the second youngest sibling of 8 children and is also survived by her three sisters, Marry Burch of TN, Betty Burchfield of MS, and Kathy Morgan of MS; four brothers, Clarence Little of MS, J.C.
