Mavis Olean Kennedy Roberts, 87, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the St. Dominic’s Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 9am-10:45am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services will be at 11am on Monday, March 17, 2014 at the funeral home with a 2:30pm graveside service to follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olive, MS.Mrs. Roberts was born on April 3, 1926 in Magee, MS to Lula and Alex Kennedy. She retired from her floral business in 1990 and she was a member of Park Place Baptist Church in Pearl, MS. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Roberts; her mother and father, and 12 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Vanover (Carman), and Kathie Sanford (Bob); son, Don Roberts (Jerry); grandchildren, Steve Vanover (Wendy), Stephanie Vanover Horn (Mark), Carlee Sanford, Ashley Sanford Mangialardi (Sam), Lisbeth Roberts Bowlin (Kendall), Gabe Roberts (Ashleigh), and eight great grandchildren.
