Max Everet Evans, Jr age 64 passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 at his residence. There will be a special Memorial Service held by his family at a later date.
Max was born to his parents Max Everet and Erma Sadler Evans on May 16, 1953 in Aikin, SC. He worked as a boilermaker and an electrician for many years. He loved going to his deer camp Glory in the Woods to hunt and fish. He loved his grandchildren very much and taking them for long rides on his scooter. He loved talking to his cousins and friends reminiscing about old times. He loved music and especially Rock 'n Roll and having a good time and making people smile.
Max is preceded in death by his mother Erma Sadler Evans; his son, Joshua Thompson Evans; and other close family members.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Thompson Evans of Forest; his children, Jessica Cockroft of Forest; his daughter-in-law, Vickie Evans of Forest; his grandchildren, Presly Cockroft, Maysen Cockroft and Eli Evans; his father, Max E. Evans Sr. of Vicksburg; his sisters, Evelyn (Bill) Martin of Vicksburg; Nancy (Robert) Goldman of Wesson; and his brother, Greg (Jo) Evans of Bastrop, LA; and many beloved cousins and family members.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee of Morton.
