Medric Jarone Neal

Medric Jarone Neal, 87, passed away at home on Sat. Jan. 6, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. Visitation will be held on Wed. Jan. 10, 2024, from 11am-1pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 1pm on Wed. Jan. 10, 2024, at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Johns Cemetery in Johns, MS.

Mr. Neal was born in Kemper County, MS on Aug. 23, 1936, to the late Coleman Columbus Neal and Dessie Mae Weathers Neal. Mr. Neal retired from the MS Highway Patrol after 21 years of service managing the print shop. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, gardening, fishing, traveling and NASCAR. Mr. Neal also enjoyed country/western dancing and was a charter member of the MCWDA.

Mr. Neal is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda Jones Neal; 2 children, Renee Hollingsworth (John) and Michelle Neal; 2 stepchildren, Mary Andress (Tim) and Sarah Morgan; sister, Katherine Sink (Forrest); brother, JW Neal; 8 grandchildren, Angel Taylor (Michael), Christopher Andress, Emily Grace Morgan, Abbott Morgan, Kristi Goodson (Corey), Justin Hollingsworth (Vickie), Johnna Hollingsworth, Michael Hollingsworth and 11 great grandchildren. Mr. Neal is also preceded in death by a sister, Norma McKee.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to Arden Hospice for their care and support.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Johns Baptist Church at 5413 Hwy. 18 Brandon, MS 39042.
