Melba D. Walters, 83, passed away Mon. May 10, 2010 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Funeral Services are 12pm. Wed. May 12, 2010 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with graveside services to follow at 2pm. in the Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.
Mrs. Walters was born in Bogalusa, LA., lived most of her life in Jackson and has been a resident of Brandon for the past 25 years. She was a member of the Brandon Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Harding Walters and her son, Tommy Brinson.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy Brinson of Pearl; her step-children, Ann Errington of Pearl, Teresa Brasell (Kenneth) of Batesville, Carl Volz (Linda) of Brandon and Tommy Walters (Ann) of Bradenton, FL. and her sister, Frances Gaddy of Memphis, TN. She is also survived by her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 1900 Dunbarton, Jackson, MS. 39216.
