Melinda Stewart Burns, age 62 of Covington, LA died on Friday, April 18, 2014. Born, Wednesday, December 05, 1951 in Forest, MS to the late Ben Guthrie Stewart and Audrey Nell Sones Stewart.
Survived by her Husband Shannon A. Burns, Sons Andrew Stewart Burns, and Micah Aaron Burns, Granddaughters Mikaila Daigle, and Evie Marguerite Burns, Grandson Seth Benjamin Burns, and Brother Rodger Dewayne Stewart.
She was a longtime banker in St. Tammany Parish and a very active church member having served as church pianist and Choir Director at Collins Blvd. Baptist Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 6:00 PM on Monday, April 21, 2014 at Collins Blvd. Baptist Church, 1501 Collins Blvd. Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM at Collins Blvd. Baptist Church and on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home, 295 E. First St., Forest, MS from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A graveside service will take place at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Sebastopol, MS on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 10:00AM.
