Melinda Ann Green, 48, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation is 5-8 pm Thursday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and 10 am Friday at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Pelahatchie. Services are 11 am Friday at the church with burial in Shiloh Cemetery. Rev. Ron McDougald and Rev. David Slaughter will officiate.
Melinda was a native and lifelong resident of the Jackson area and was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. She was a retired Purchasing Chief for the Mississippi Highway Patrol and her favorite pastimes were writing and spending time in the outdoors.
Survivors include her husband, Glenn Green of Pelahatchie; mother, Marsha Prysock of Pearl; uncle, Willie Graves (Mary) of Madison; aunts, Janet Graves of West Monroe, LA, Linda Phillips of Nashville, TN and Shirley Draughn (Larry) of Raymond; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Gloria Faye Green of Red Lick and numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. And Mrs. W. E. Graves and L. O. Watson.
