Melva Weaver, age 47, a resident of Morton passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at her residence. Visitation was held 10am-12pm Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Graveside service was held 12:30pm Saturday at Morton Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Ricky Watkins officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Melva was born May 15, 1966 in Clay County. She loved taking care of animals and would give any stray animal a home and love. She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Faye Boyette Crowe and 2 brothers, Charles Westbrooks Jr. and Carl Edward Crowe.
She is survived by her children, Melissa Weaver Atkins (Ryan) of Polkville and David Weaver of Pelahatchie; 2 sisters, Cheryl McMillian (Jeff Sr.) of Morton and Bonita Allen (Michael Sr.) of Morton; 2 brothers, Howard Crowe (Lynn) of Cato and Albert Crowe (Brandy) of Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren, Alissa Nicole Atkins and Addison Ryanna Atkins and a host of friends.
