Funeral service: 2 pm Sunday, September 21, 2014 at O&L in Morton Burial: Independence UMC Cemetery Visit: 5-8 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Melvin Ted Hayman, 75, a resident of Jackson, MS died Friday, September 19, 2014 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in the Independence United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 pm Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the funeral home. Rev. Glenn Hayman will officiate the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton will be in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Hayman was a native of Scott County. He was the son of Troy and Nanny Lou Lingle Hayman. He was married to Robbie Joyce Brewer Hayman. Mr. Hayman worked 20 years in maintenance for Central Mississippi Medical Center. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him. Mr. Hayman was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Nanny Lou Lingle Hayman; wife, Robbie Joyce Brewer Hayman and brother, Edward Hayman. Mr. Hayman is survived by his children, Mary Cynthia (Roger) Johnson of Utah and Kevin Hayman of Jackson; sisters, Betty Faye Wade of Morton and Linda Allen of Soso; 4 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
