Funeral services for Mrs. Mendy Ann Hollis will be conducted Friday, January 1, 2016 at 12:00 P.M., from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Sulphur Springs Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.


Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 AM until 11: 45 A.M. prior to the funeral services at the funeral home.


Mendy Ann Mowdy Hollis was born August 25, 1981 in Meridian to her parents: Roger Dale and Betty Joyce Abel Mowdy. She passed away December 26, 2015 at the Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest at the age of 34.


Mendy loved her children dearly, as they were the top priority of her life, as shared by her family, quoted: “She was a wonderful mother.” She always enjoyed spending time with them and going on vacations in various states. Shopping was a favorite pass time. She was a member of the 2000 graduation class at Sebastopol High School and was a Baptist by faith.


She was preceded in death by her mother: Betty Joyce Abel Mowdy and her grandparents: J.R. & Jean Abel.


She is survived by her husband: Mikeal Hollis of Forest; her father: Roger Dale Mowdy of Forest; her children: Gabriel Mowdy, William Hollis, Kaylee Hollis, and Jaxson Hollis; one brother: Chris Mowdy of Forest; her grandmother: Claudine Webb of Walnut Grove; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.


Pallbearers will be: Patrick Watkins, Timothy Watkins, Nick Russell, Nathan Russell, Brady Bridges, and Curt Upton.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Blair E. Baston Hospital 2500 N State St, Jackson, MS 39216.
