Micah Wayne Barber, 38, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016 at his residence. Visitation is 5-8 pm Wednesday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and 10 am Thursday at Hickory Ridge Baptist Church. Services are 11 am Thursday at Hickory Ridge Baptist Church with burial at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Micah was a loving and caring father, son, brother, uncle and friend to all. He loved deeply and he gave generously. Micah has been described by many as “larger than life” and as a Superhero, but he was never too busy to help his friends and family. He touched lives wherever he went from the children he treated to ice cream and a balloon house jump in Thailand, to the friends and family he made in Nigeria. Though Micah was a world traveler, his heart never left home or the ones he loved.
Survivors include his daughter, Lyric Amalee Barber and her mother, Mecca Chance of Rayville, LA; parents, Wayne and Corrine Barber of Jackson; sisters Christie Barber (Duane Poole) of Crystal Springs, Beverly Brower (John) of Jackson; brother, Nathan Barber (Candice) of Richland; uncle, David Kyzer of Florence; aunts and uncles, Anse and Linda Barber of Brandon and Joshua and Helen Kyzer of Pineville.
