Michael Lee Guy, age 28, died, Sunday, May 9, 2010 in Morton. Visitation was held 5-10 pm on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and will resume 8am-2:30 pm Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted 3pm Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from the chapel at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Rev. Robert Gatewood and Rev. John Goodhue will officiate the services. Burial will be in Morton Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Michael was a lifelong resident of Scott County. He was the proud father of one daughter, Anna Lee Guy. He loved to fish, hunt, mud bog, 4 wheeler ride and camp. But most of all Michael will be remembered for his wonderful smile and laughter when he was doing what he loved the most, being with his friends. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Preceded in death by his grandfather, R.G. Guy; grandparents, Guy & Mae Waggoner; great grandparents, B.D. & Reba Sharp; great uncle, Rufus Sharp; uncle, William Guy and first cousin, Debra Tucker Gray.
Survivors include his daughter, Anna Lee Guy of Raleigh; parents, Roger & Brenda Waggoner Guy of Morton; brothers, Tony D. Guy (Robin) of Morton and Roger L. Guy (Brandy) of Pulaski; grandmothers, Odellia Roland of Morton and Mary Guy of Morton; aunt, Renee Randall; first cousin, Destiny Randall, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Junior Miles, Keith Tucker, Bryan Tucker, Justin Beatty, Pete Martin and Daniel Parkman. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Phillips (deceased), Chris Stokley, Joey Scales, Timmy Miles, Justin Beatty, Junior Miles, Jason Easterling, Jay Johnson, J.J. Risher, Billy Gene Steadman, Ricky Guy, Steven Guy, Christian Guy, Jonathan Gatewood, Johnny Guy, Kevin Beatty, Keith Beatty, Steven McCrory, Jerry Lee Derrick and Paul Johnson. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton is in charge of arrangements.
